How do you keep the software secure and reliable?
IMEbase is designed to improve data security for your IME activities. Fully HIPAA compliant, IMEbase uses proven technology to keep data secure, and an easy-to-use design that will eliminate the insecure practices many organizations use to communicate without a tool like IMEbase. Our state-of-the-art redundant server cluster is collocated at Qwest, one of the premier data center facilities in North America. You can read about Qwest's facilities and their 10 Gigabit-per-second OC192 coast-to-coast backbone network, or take a virtual tour.
All data is stored on RAID-5 disks, providing real-time redundancy. Full backups are performed nightly, and backup media are stored securely offsite. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Our hardware is also fully redundant so even if one disk or server fails nothing will be lost and the system will not go down.
Our uptime is over 99%. We perform real-time system monitoring from several locations, and have on-call engineers 24/7.
Can I run IMEbase on my servers?
Generally, we recommend that you let us host IMEbase-that way, you'll always be using the latest version and won't need to worry about anything.
Under some conditions, we will allow customers to host their own version of IMEbase. Please contact us to discuss this option.
Do you guarantee "uptime" or provide a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
For several years now, we've been hosting mission-critical healthcare software for some of the largest insurers in the country. Our customers consider us to be highly reliable. Our goal is to provide uptime of greater than 99% outside of planned outages, which will be scheduled in advance and take place outside of normal business hours. If an outage causes a significant problem to you, we will do everything possible to make it right.
What type of support do you provide? How much does support cost?
We provide email and phone support between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Support is included in your monthly plan-there is no additional charge.
Can I export my data?
You can export data at any time from the administrator panel in IMEbase.
Can I import my data?
We will import data for you during your setup process.
Can I "extend" IMEbase? Do you provide developer access?
IMEbase is designed to make integration with existing software systems relatively easy. While at this time, we do not provide access to outside developers, we will work with your development team to integrate with IMEbase.
How does your license agreement work?
Do you provide code escrow or other services to reduce our business risk if you quit supporting IMEbase?
While we are planning to support IMEbase forever, the license agreement you sign specifies that we will escrow the full source code to IMEbase, and the terms under which it will be released to customers.
